The Igala situation is like the story told of a woman who after so many years of inability to bring forth a child for her husband, even though he was not bothered by the situation, suggested to him that he sleeps with her maid servant so that she (the maid servant) could bear her (the mistress) children. -Fundamental mistake! The husband desirous of a child agreed to his wife’s seemingly novel proposal to have a slave bear forth a child for them. -Mistake number 2 The slave mid-servant agreed to her mistress proposal to sleep with her mistress’s master (husband) and bear them a child. - Mistake number 3 When the mid-servant took in, she became rude and began treating her mistress with levity and contempt: her mistress was despised in her eyes seeing she easily did what her mistress could not achieve in decades. From sociological point of view, corruption in any human society is a clear indication that something is wrong in the system, be it political, economic, sociological or religious sphere.   Corruption in Nigeria has passed the alarming stage and entered the fatal stage; and Nigeria will -die if we keep pretending that she is only slightly disposed.  Corruption in Nigeria is no longer a small masquerade but a big one, a generally accepted and equally institutionalized "doctrine" for Nigeria. A BRIEF HISTORY OF CHRISTMAS

 As my gift to you, I want to send you off with some fun Christmas facts. Please feel free to use them for interesting conversation starters at your gatherings. ORIGINS OF CHRISTMAS The origins of Christmas stem from both the pagan and Roman cultures. The Romans actually celebrated two holidays in the month of December. The first was Saturnalia, which was a two-week festival honoring their god of agriculture Saturn. On December 25th, they celebrated the birth of Mithra, their sun god. Both celebrations were raucous, drunken parties. Also in December, in which the darkest day of the year falls, the pagan cultures lit bonfires and candles to keep the darkness at bay. The Romans also incorporated this tradition into their own celebrations. As Christianity spread across Europe, the Christian clergy were not able to curb the pagan customs and celebrations.
